A Twenty-First-Century-Blackpool
Blackpool Council is currently implementing big plans to rejuvenate Blackpool and make it a more modern place for both leisure and corporate guests to visit.

Temporary Road Works
The extensive transformation of the UK’s most popular seaside resort will involve some temporary road works along Talbot Road and Dickson Road. Our guests can avoid the travel blues by leaving the M55 at Junction 3, travelling through the historic market town of Poulton-le-Fylde, and following signs for North Shore.

Public Transport
Blackpool is fundamental to Network Rail’s ambitious investment of over one billion pounds in railway services in the North West designed to deliver greener, cleaner, quieter and more reliable journeys to passengers by May 2018. Blackpool North station is also being remodelled as part of plans to both simplify and modernise the layout of the railway to reduce delays and improve efficiency.

Regular rail replacement bus services will be running between Preston and Blackpool during the renovation process until rail connections resume in March 2018. Stagecoach’s number 61 and number 68 bus services also run regularly between Preston and Blackpool. Pedestrians alighting bus services at Blackpool North station are an 8 minute walk from the hotel via Lord Street.

Blackpool1 tickets offer great value on all Blackpool Transport Buses and Trams. You can buy some of the tickets on board or buy at Travelshops at Market Street or Rigby Road and the Route 1 Tram Service between Fleetwood Ferry and Starr Gate calls at all of Blackpool’s attractions on the promenade, thereby offering a stop in close proximity to the hotel.

The transport disruptions over the next few months represent a necessary part of the creation of a modern Blackpool for the twenty-first century.
